I’ve always wanted to document my travels in a pushpin type fashion. But all I could find were maps that were either huge or so small that I couldn’t pin multiple cities in a small area. So I created my own maps to fit in a 8.5 x 11″ frame.
I printed out the pdfs below and, after removing the glass, put them into a frame . Then I layered on an 8.5 x 11″ rectangle of cork I had pre-cut out from a roll of cork that I had around, then some card stock, the glass (just to store it), and finally the backer board.
To make the pushpins, I put beads through sewing pins and glued them in place. The flags were cut out from scrapbook paper, written on by hand, and pushed in place.
If you end up using my template, please post a link. I’d love to see what you’ve done!
